The Classic Jet and Fighter Display, 1998

Cranfield Airport, Bedfordshire, 16th August

On 16 August, Kennet Aviation and The Old Flying Machine Company are delighted to invite you to their air display at Cranfield, Bedfordshire.

A fantastic selection of military jets, both past and present, and WWII fighter aircraft are uniting for the Classic Jet and Fighter Display.

There will be more than thirty thrilling acts; Warbirds and Fast Jets ranging from the Corsair and Spitfire to the only airworthy Jet Provost T Mk 1 will be gracing the sky. The exhillaration continues with the L-39 Albatros, which made a sensational appearance in the latest James Bond film. This is followed by the Hawker Hunter, the Russian MiG-15, the RAF’s Tornado F3, the Eurofighter and many more.

There is a unique display of the Gnat, the aircraft originally flown by the Red Arrows in the 1960s, when the aircraft and one of the first Red Leaders, Ray Hanna, are reunited for the first time in 25 years.

A perfect summer’s day out for the entire family will cost less than £25. Situated in Bedfordshire, just of the M1, Cranfield is only one hour away from London with easy access from the Midlands and Oxford, making it the perfect air show site. In addition to the aerial theatre, there will be plenty of souvenir stalls, joy rides and a variety of snack bars and restaurants to keep the whole family entertained.



How to buy advance Classic Jet and Fighter Display Tickets

Tickets will be available in advance from all branches of the Midland Bank.

Adult advanced tickets will cost £8.00, Children and OAPs are £6.00, and an Advance Family Ticket for two adults and up to three children is just £24.00. The flying display starts at 01:00 pm.
