Manufactured in 1944 and powered by a 220hp Continental radial, the Stearman has a top speed of 124mph. N4596N is painted in US Mail colours.

Staggerwing

BEECH STAGGERWING

Built in 1943 and powered by a 450hp Pratt and Whitney radial with a top speed of 200mph, G-BRVE saw wartime service in both the US Navy and the Fleet Air Arm.


Harvard

SNJ 7. HARVARD

Powered by a 600hp Pratt and Whitney radial engine, max speed 226mph. This aircraft was based at Pearl Harbour and is the sole surviving SNJ7 model.

Yak-52

YAK-52

Powered by a Vedeneyer M14p 360hp radial, this Russian built example has a top speed of 177mph. The Yak-52 is the primary trainer of the eastern block airforces.


P-51D Mustang

P-51D MUSTANG

Constructed in 1944 and powered by a Rolls Royce Packard Merlin, max speed 437mph. G-SIRR represents 336th Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, Debden, Essex.

Gnat

FOLLAND GNAT

Powered by Rolls Royce Orpheus Turbojet, max speed 525 knots. G-MOUR’s paint scheme represents The Yellowjacks Display Team (forerunners to the Red Arrows).
