Sponsor-Partner OpportunitiesFirebird have the capacity to operate a new solo or three/four-ship team in 2002. A Firebird Team….
EventsThe Firebird Team display at major events and also fly any specific displays required by sponsor-partners. A major strength is that the Team perform at all kinds of events. These include air shows – which are Britain’s biggest summer spectator events, attracting crowds of 6.5 million a year – country shows, motor races, regattas – everything from a product launch to Farnborough. The Team can stay in the UK or operate Europe-wide.
Corporate flying daysFor wholly exclusive hospitality the Team can operate corporate hospitality days, in which sponsors’ guests fly in the aircraft individually with a display pilot. The guests experience world-class aerobatics and ‘have a go’ themselves. Flying with the Team is a unique experience – and one the guests cannot gain any other way, because we only fly guests of our sponsors. Format and numbers are flexible, and up to 700 people can be flown in a season. The days can be at any aerodrome in the UK or Europe. For 2001, the aircraft will be equipped with video-camera systems so that guests can be presented with a tape of their own experience.
MediaThe Firebird Team undertake media days as an ongoing activity during the display tours. The ability to fly media people in the aircraft is most effective, achieving major branded articles in national and provincial newspapers, magazines, and on TV. The new permanent on-board video will make spectacular footage of every display immediately available for TV stations. The Team’s feature-worthiness also enables them to major on target media such as business magazines, etc. In its first two years, the Rover Team’s coverage was independently valued at £1.3 million. The Rover Team achieved….
Other promotionsThe Team can perform at anything sponsor-partners are involved in, from Cowes Week to a business seminar at a conference centre. Most big events – especially air shows – include facilities for corporate hospitality, and the presence of the sponsor’s own star performer provides the focus.
Sponsor-partner historyThe two-ship Team flew in Rover/MG colours for three years – a very successful association which ended only when BMW reversed Rover’s marketing strategy. Brian Lecomber founded Firebird in 1981 after flying for two years with the Rothmans Aerobatic Team. Over 19 years the company has been associated with six major sponsor-partners. All have been long relationships: Dunlop (4 years), Toyota (3 years), Jaguar (9 years), Daily Express (4 years), Rover (3 years) and Microlease (10+ years).
Sponsor-partner packageThe Firebird Team will be available for a new sponsor (or sponsors) in 2001. The package includes….
