Firebird Aerobatics is Britain’s leading civilian aerobatic display company. We provide spectacular formation and solo aerobatic displays for all kinds of major events, from the Farnborough Air Show to county shows, carnivals, motor races and regattas. The company has been operating for 22 years and has now flown more than 2,750 displays in front of some 90 million spectators.

In 2001 we introduced a new two-ship formation team, the Microlease Aerobatic Team, flying a pair of brand new Extra 300L’s. On their first public appearance, at the Biggin Hill Air Show, pilots Brian Lecomber and John Taylor were awarded the Shell Trophy for the best team display. They followed this a few weeks later by winning the Best Display award at the RAF Waddington Air Show, in competition with no less than seven air forces.

In 2002 they began the season by representing Britain at the ILA Berlin Air Show, and shortly after that were again awarded the Shell Trophy at Biggin Hill. The Team performed in the UK and eight other European countries during the ’02 season.
