Blue Eagles Team News for 2005

The Team is set and the pace picks up!

This week is full of good news.  After the departure of Ronnie we are happy and very pleased to announce that Capt Al Rickers has been asked, and accepted, to join the team for a second season; this is such a relief and due to his experience, an easy option for the training.  Today the full team were practicing as a 5 ship with some very pleasing results.  Both SSgt Grant Elgar and Sgt Jim Le Conu have fitted in seamlessly and Capt Neil Bishop, under the guidance of Ray and WO2 Ed Smith, has almost perfected both the team and Lynx solo displays well in
advance of the planed sign off.  We aren’t getting complacent and know that there is still a lot of work to do to get the polished displays we want but we are well up to the standard we set for this stage of training; I am even being allowed to debrief on the ground now!

The weather still plays a big part in the proceedings and WO2 Al Scott is still having to ‘adapt’ his programme.  He is happy with the way it is going but asks you all to cross everything and hope for better weather.  I am still pushing bits of paper around as is Marty but the in-tray is getting smaller (told you it was good news week!!)

Sgt Phil Costello along with Atpr Dopp and Chappell have been assisting Andy with the caravan and the result is fantastic, you will all be very impressed with it when you come and see us.  Pte Paula Thompson will soon be in possession of the team vehicle and can start the driver training ready for their 1st outing at the Duxford VE day show.

Thanks for the comments in the guest book and I will give you more news soon.
