Blue Eagles Team News for 2007

Le Luc Air Show – 23rd and 24th June

Captain Laura Jones reports:

The Team travelled over to the south of France for the Annual French Army Aviation air day at Le Luc airbase. The show featured aircraft and teams from all over Europe. Despite some poor weather on route and a long transit south, the team arrived to bright sunshine and a brisk breeze off the med. The weather conditions were excellent for both days’ displays although it was very hot and there were strong winds which made it extremely difficult for the team. The French public was very impressed on both days with the team’s displays and greeted them with a round of applause on landing. The French Army VIPs attending the show were very complimentary about the team after the display.

On Monday was the long transit back to Middle Wallop, with the weather deteriorating the further north we got! Welcome to British summer! It was an excellent weekend with two very good displays despite the challenging conditions and a good chance to show what we could do to other nations.
