Blue Eagles Team Displays – Museum of Army Flying – 3rd September 2004

The Museum of Army Flying hosted a VIP evening on 3rd September which included a display by the Historic Aircraft Flight and the Blue Eagles just as the sun set! The low evening light made for some interesting colours as the sky steadily turned orange. The displays were followed by a concert by the Band of the Army Air Corps who played a medely of famous marches, all the while marching in intricate patterns, much to the delight of the assembled guests.

The VIPs assembled outside the Museum as the sun began to set.	Running in under cloud….

….then hitting a blue patch….	….just in time for the break….

….to be highlit in orange light.	The odd light and still evening air really made the smoke trails hang.

Al Scott pulling round a 270 turn.	The Lynx landing light cast its own brilliance in the gathering dusk….

….and the sunset made some soft hightlights in the backflip.	Nige and Stewart running in for the heart over the Union Flag….

….pulling up and breaking….	….before crossing at the bottom of the heart, the slow shutter speed giving a real impression of their closing speed!

The finale was a stunner!	The Band of the Army Air Corps in full swing.
