Blue Eagles Team News for 2005

16 and 17 July at Fairford for the Royal International Air Tattoo.

Saturday 16 July was the first day of the Royal International Air Tattoo, held annualy at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. The show is simply enormous, with participants from all over the world in a dazzling variety of types and colours. Fast jets, transport and historic aircraft and helicopters fill the eight hour flying display, showing the huge crowd the full scope of aviation. The Blue Eagles were joined by the Army Historic Aircraft Flight to form an eleven-ship flypast to open the Army flying display early in the show. They will be back to do it again tomorrow, and we will be bringing you the best of the action from both displays. You can see the AHAF site by clicking on the link above, they also have their own report from the show. The weather was just about perfect for an airshow, with a light, cool wind taking the edge off the hot sun, so a truly excellent display was flown, as evinced by the pictures below.
