RAF Waddington International Air Show – 30th June and 01st July

Captain Laura Jones reports:

The team performed Solo displays at Waddington on a wet and windy morning. There was a huge crowd and they soon descended onto the trailer to meet the pilots and collect their posters. Some of the team managed to catch a glimpse of Baroness Thatcher as she laid wreaths to commemorate all those who fell during the Falklands War.
 
Sadly on Sunday the airshow was cancelled.This was due to a number of factors including a raise in the threat level following the attack on Glasgow airport and also the level of flooding in the local area which stripped the airshow of all the police support.  It was with regret that the team returned home early.
