Blue Eagles Team News for 2007

The first display of 2007 – Abingdon – 06 May 2007

The Abingdon Air Show is a little jewel of an airshow, always attracting a wide variety of aircraft, vintage and modern. This year was no exception, with types ranging from a Messerschmitt Bf108 throught to the RAF’s Hawk trainer. The Team were asked to close the show with their full display, but sadly, on the day this proved impossible. Illness struck the Team hard, leaving them short handed, so in the end, only a solo Gazelle display was possible. However, Mal Malcolm did not disappoint, his solo display was dynamic and powerful, showing the incredible manoeuvrability of the Gazelle off in fine style. Laura’s excellent commentary kept the crowd enthralled as Mal put the aircraft through its paces. The next Team display is scheduled for the 20th May at Duxford, and it is sincerely hoped that the Team will be back to full strength.
