Blue Eagles Team News for 2006

The Lydd Airshow – 09 to 10 September 2006

The London Ashford Airport at Lydd in Kent was host to Britain’s latest addition to the air display season, the Lydd Airshow. The weather for the weekend was superb with clear blue skies ont he Saturday, albeit with a blustery and occassionally very strong on crowd wind. So strong were the gusts that Graham and Barry had to turn one of the backflips into a forward pitching manoeuvre, as the even the mighty Lynx couldn’t overcome the gusts. Sunday was perfect however, the clear blue skies were still in place, but the wind had dropped to little more than a gentle breeze. Under these ideal conditions, the Team flew a perfect display, every manoeuvre was just spot on. The crowd loved the display, on both days the Team got a huge round of applause from the appreciative crowd. The Team made many new freinds at this brand new show, many thanks for all the guestbook entries! The pictures below are from both day’s displays, and are just the highlights from two superb shows.
