Two views of the crowd the display stand attracted on the second day of Mildenhall….

….particularly after the team’s displays. The Mildenhall crowd really enjoyed the Blue Eagles experience.

A good impression of the conditions for the second day is shown in this shot of Kav’s Gazelle, the smoke trail being roiled by the strong gusting wind.

The visibility was also very poor, low cloud and light rain form the backdrop as the Lynx backflips.

The next best opportunity for photographs was as the Team flew past after saluting the crowd….

….whose applause for the display in difficult conditions continued as the whole Team flew past.

However, on leaving Mildenhall and heading south….

….toward Southend, things brightened rapidly and general improved.

So that by the time we landed and taxied in at Southend it was another beautiful day….

….and a large crowd had turned out at the airfield to see the arrivals, even though the display is at the seafront.

The conditions of the seafront were very gusty however, and we managed to grab these two shots of the first display, here the four Gazelles cross….

….and here Kav and Terry perform the simultaneous Elphinstone loops in the huge ampitheatre that is Southend seafront.
