Saturday 31 July – The famous Middle Wallop "Music in the Air" display in the early evening!

Some of the highlights of this amazing show, aircraft on display set to classical music with full orchestra and choir support. The only word for this unusual event is magnificent!

The Green Barrows

One of the most unusual participants was the Green Barrows, a four-ship of Hercules from Lyneham

The mighty Avro Lancaster

The BBMF’s Avro Lancaster flew to Jupiter from Holst’s "The Planets"

Hot Air Balloons

A difficult display to stage, hot air balloons float past the orchestra and choir on the covered stage

The Silver Eagles

The Army Air Corps Parachute Team, the Silver Eagles, filled the sky with eighteen parachutists

The end of the Silver Eagles display included a two-man stack carrying the Army Air Corps flag

The finale, to Ravel’s Bolero, featured nineteen helicopters over the stage
