LIVE pictures brought to you from the British Grand Prix at Silverstone!!

Greetings from Silverstone, location of our first-ever live updates to this site. The chances are it was a fair bit drier where you were on Sunday! We managed to complete a full display on Saturday 11th July, despite the best efforts of Mother Nature and her bent for strong winds over the weekend. On Sunday, we were treated to a low cloudbase, constant drizzle, and even stronger winds, which meant that we were only able to do a "Smokin’ Flypast" to open the Grand Prix. I hope many of you, along with the other 300 Million viewers worldwide, were able to catch the live TV coverage, even though Jim Rosenthal didn’t appear to know the difference between an Eagle and an Arrow!!

Hope you like the idea of the live pictures; do drop us an e-mail and let us know what you think. Particular thanks must go to Crispin Driver and Tim Callaway for their excellent work over the weekend which made this all possible. (They even missed the race, in order to get these pictures out as "live" as possible.) Perhaps we can get them locked up computing whilst some other major event is going on, e.g. Fairford or possibly Farnborough!
