WD 325 was one of the first aircraft to be delivered to Middle Wallop arriving in 1953. Initially the Royal Air Force were responsible for training AOP pilots and the original aircraft were furnished in the standard RAF Training Command markings of silver with a yellow band. However, it was not until the formation of the AAC on 1
September 1957 that the markings reflected the familiar red and white
colour scheme.
