TThe 2005 Team Displays – RAF Waddington – 02 & 03 July 2005.

The International Air Show at RAF Waddington is one of the largest air displays in the United Kingdom. Military aircraft from all over the world visit the airfield to take part in the show, and this year was no exception. Exhibits included aircraft from all over Europe and the United States. The weather on the Saturday was overcast and gusty, but the Sunday dawned bright and with a very high coudbase. On both days, the Flight once again began their display in company with the Blue Eagles, the 11 aircraft of the combined Teams making an impressive sight. The display was superb, the six aircraft easily filling the huge flight line at Waddington, keeping the whole audience entertained. The new display for this year includes a centerpiece ‘aerial ballet’ by the rotary-winged section, while the fixed-wing section fly formations around it. Below are the highlights from the two day display.
