Blue Eagles Team Displays – Lowestoft, Lyme Regis and Music in the Air – 29th to 31st July 2004As the Team left Lyme Regis, there was time for one more flypast to salute the crowd. I won’t spoil Keith’s secret as to how he managed to be in two places at once! (Actually, truth is, he won’t tell us- Ed.) The formation flew past at Larkhill with white smoke, before returning to Middle Wallop. The Music in the Air finale consists of a "Mass Approach" by Lynx, Gazelle, Squirrel and Apache helicopters from the base, in the near dark of late evening, with landing lights on, all in time to the orchestra. The Blue Eagles completed this manoeuvre with their new finale, the four Gazelles performing Elphinstone Loops as the Lynx backflips to rejoin the formation. As soon as the helicopters cleared the area, a tremendous firework display brought the very long weekend to a final close.
