Blue Eagles Team News ArchiveArchived 29 August 2001 Leuchars Air Display – 16th September 2000The Battle of Britain Air Display is one of the largest in the UK, attracting visitors from all over Scotland and the North of England. Situated on the coast, the mountain backdrop makes a dramatic setting for the display. Since it is a long way from Middle Wallop, the Team transited on Friday. The navigation skills displayed by Rob in the Lynx are becoming a matter of legend as he picked his way through the most horrible weather, having to divert to Coventry before staging through Army Air Corps station Dishforth on the way north. The weather gradually improved as we went up the country, until we arrived at Leuchars in bright sunshine. Here are some photographs of the arrival on Friday, along with the extensive flight line display.
