Leuchars Air Display – 16th September 2000

And so to the Saturday, and the weather dawned bright and blue, despite the gloom and downpours of the previous day. The Team flew what everybody felt was their best and tightest display of the year, and the crowd were incredibly appreciative. The Team left at around four, to return to Dishforth before going on to Plymouth for a display on Sunday morning. The two displays could not be farther apart in the UK, so a long slog of a weekend, made very worthwhile by the reactions of the crowds. As we breifed, Cuz decided on a route that would take us past the Firth of Forth bridge. Tune in later for pictures from the transit.

The B1 bomber dominated an interesting static park. A Nimrod, Orion and C-97 are in the background.	The giant KC-10 tanker and B-52 bomber needed practically a park of their own.
The display starts with the Lynx performing the back break from the Gazelles.	The Gazelles form up into Diamond after their crosses and simultaneous stall turns.
Tim then pulls up hard fo a pedal turn….	….before the Lynx flies up the middle of the remaining three Gazelles.
The Lynx solo gets him into some strange positions! Here, the backflip….	….followed by the Eagle roll.
The full display ended with the crossover break….	….but this was followed by a flypast in vic as a salute to the aircrew of the Battle of Britain.
