1999 Stories
Thursday 2 December – Middle Wallop, Hampshire.
The Team’s last demonstration of 1999 was at Middle Wallop for the Companies who have supported the Team and the Historic Aircraft
Flight over the year.
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September – Southport Airshow, Lancashire.
Cris Driver and Jez Beynon photographed the show from inside and out on both days. As usual, the Southport crowd were welcoming
and enthusiastic!
Saturday 31 July – The famous Middle Wallop “Music in the Air” display in the early evening!
Some of the highlights of this amazing show, aircraft on display set to classical music with full orchestra and choir support. The only word for this unusual event is magnificent!
Sunday 25 July – The Royal International Air Tattoo 1999, Live!
Some of the stars of the show captured by Kieth Draycott, and Jez Beynon caught some stunners of the Team display from the inside!
Silverstone, the British Grand Prix, Live!
Shots over Silverstone on the Recce sortie, of Shaun’s solo display on the Friday, the whole Team display on the
Saturday, and the photocall immediately after. Jes Beynon again managed to get some excellent shots on the way round
Saturday’s display in the Lynx!
Southend, the first day hit by weather!
Jez Beynon managed to get some exciting aerial shots on the Sunday, however! Looks like the UK season
is starting as it means to go on!

As 1998 drew to a close we were visited by some members of the pop group Blur.
Why? Perhaps the 1999 display will reveal the answer….!
